San Francisco tight end George Kittle wore a shirt that said, “Fuck Dallas” under his uniform during the Cowboys-49ers game the previous season.
Kittle received a $13,659 punishment from the NFL for momentarily taking off his jersey to see the shirt. Kittle didn’t care that he would be fined.
In the documentary series Receiver, Kittle discusses his choice to wear the shirt and the anticipated $15,000 fine with colleagues while they are on the sidelines.
What is the amount of the fine? fifteen? stated Kittle. “I’m going to pay a huge fine.” However, Kittle stated he was free to wear the same shirt again even after being fined.
“I have no regrets at all. Not in the slightest, and if given the chance again, I might do it,” Kittle remarked. Kittle will have the chance on Sunday Night Football in Week Eight when the 49ers take on the Cowboys.
