After being cut by the San Francisco 49ers, cornerback Kemon Hall (left) was claimed by the Dallas Cowboys.

After cornerback Kempon Hall was cut by the San Francisco 49ers, the Cowboys claimed him off waivers.

The addition follows the Cowboys’ release of cornerback Gareon Conley, who was chosen with the No. 24 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft by the Las Vegas Raiders (formerly the Oakland Raiders).

In 2021–2022 Hall participated in eighteen games with the Los Angeles Chargers. For the former North Texas standout, it’s kind of a homecoming. Before Week 1, Hall needs to demonstrate a lot more if he hopes to be included on the Cowboys 53-man roster.

“After splitting from Gareon Conley, Kempin Hall was claimed by the Cowboys from the waiver wire (49ers),” Patrik Walker of DallasCowboys.com wrote in a July 28, 2024, message on X.

“A change of cornerbacks on Sunday.” Hall: A 2019 UDFA from North Texas who played in 16 games with the Chargers; in 2020, he was a practice squad member in Dallas.

Conley did not play a down with the Cowboys despite having just joined with the team on June 18. As the Cowboys prepare for training camp, here are the most recent topics involving the team.
