The Dallas Cowboys signed wide receivers Deontay Burnett and Kelvin Harmon following their successful workouts on Saturday.
The two additions provide much-needed depth at wide receiver in the absence of CeeDee Lamb, who is still holding out of training camp due to a minor injury, and after rookie Ryan Flournoy was limited to the rehab group during practice on Friday.
Born and reared in Compton, California, Burnett is originally from Southern California. Prior to being undrafted in 2018, Burnett attended USC.
Throughout his NFL career, he has played for the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, and San Francisco 49ers. In eight games, he has amassed 15 receptions for 210 yards.

Burnett found a home with the Houston Roughnecks of the XFL in 2023 after his time with the Eagles expired in 2020. In 2024, he joined the Arlington Renegades of the UFL. Burnett caught 33 passes for 306 yards and two scores with the Renegades during the previous spring season.
Harmon, a North Carolina State product selected by the Washington Commanders in the sixth round of the 2019 draft, was born in Liberia and later relocated to New Jersey as a young child.
He spent three seasons in Washington throughout his professional career before signing with the USFL’s Philadelphia Stars in 2023 and the UFL’s DC Defenders in 2024. With 365 career yards in the NFL, Harmon is now ranked fourth among wide receivers for the Cowboys.
Along with quarterback Reid Sinnett and wide receiver Terrell Bynum, the two new additions worked out on Saturday afternoon; at the end of the practice, neither player was signed.
