From 2016 until 2023, Ezekiel Elliott was a member of the Dallas Cowboys for seven years.

He developed into one of the best running backs the team has ever had during that period. With more than 300 rushing yards, he topped the league for two seasons.

In terms of yards (8,262) and touchdowns (80), he is third in Cowboys history. He gained the respect and affection of both his teammates and supporters as a valuable member of the squad.

Regretfully, he didn’t enjoy stardom for very long. It’s ironic that Elliott’s performance began to deteriorate in 2019, the year the Cowboys extended his contract with a $90 million cap.

The Cowboys later realized that the purchase was a huge mistake because they were left with salary cap concerns and did not receive value for their money.

Zeke’s return

Thus, Zeke was asked to depart and went to play for the New England Patriots in the 2023 season. Elliott is happy to be back after the Cowboys re-signed him for the 2024 campaign in an attempt to address their running back situation.

Like in the past, he has been mingling with the fans following training camp drills. Zeke responded as follows when a fan said he created him something, but he couldn’t give it to him because “you left us!”

“I didn’t leave, they kicked me out!”

Zeke is aiming to play better than he has in the past several seasons now that he is back.Elliott only saw 3.5 carries and a career-low 37.8 rushing yards per game while playing for the Patriots. Now that he’s back at Cowboys training camp, he’s not wasting any time as he’s been working hard during the offseason.

An NFL player has a three-year shelf life. “Every moment, every year, every extra year I have is a gift,” Elliott remarked. “I believe that returning was crucial for me since I have unresolved matters to attend to.I had the want to return, spend time with my friends, and try again.

The main priority at the moment is having as much fun as possible. I have no idea how many more of these I will encounter. And simply enjoy your time here, living each minute to the fullest.
