Fans of the Dallas Cowboys have been waiting impatiently for a resolution to the team’s protracted contract dispute with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, and Lamb is not doing anything to allay fears.

On Monday, Lamb posted a mysterious picture to social media, sparking a flurry of irrational conjecture among followers. The image, which Lamb shared on his Instagram account, depicts Peter Parker getting dressed in a black suit in a scene from “Spider-Man 3.”

Naturally, there was no context. The most widely accepted theory, however, suggested that Lamb was either declaring that he is prepared to commit for the 2024 campaign or that, maybe as a result of leaking rumors that he rejected down large sums of money from the Cowboys, he is taking on a new villainous role.

Some people took the tweet as a bad omen because the black Spider-Man outfit symbolizes the moment when an alien symbiote attached itself to Spider-Man and caused the superhero to go wild. It might not have meant anything at all, but in the context of the situation, Lamb had to have understood it would cause a major stir.

Lamb has not participated in training camp. Last season, he led the NFL with 135 receptions, 1,749 yards, and 12 touchdowns. Although there had been some recent hope that an addition would be completed, Lamb’s Instagram post raised some fresh doubts about it.
