Although the team’s offseason hasn’t gone as planned, the Dallas Cowboys, like the rest of the NFL, are getting ready for the start of the season.

Week 1 is quickly approaching, and CeeDee Lamb is still out of commission as he waits for a new contract. On social media, CeeDee Lamb shares her genuine opinions about the Cowboys.Parker Johnson.

Although the two parties have exchanged public remarks, it appears that they are no closer to reaching a new agreement, as latest rumors indicate Lamb rejected a $33 million annual offer.

This is due to his desire for a contract that is comparable to Justin Jefferson’s $35 million yearly salary. Talks are still ongoing, and Cowboys insider Dave Helman discussed how long the discussions have been.

He stated on the “SPEAK” YouTube show, “Of course he’s frustrated, and of course this matters a lot because CeeDee Lamb is the Dallas Cowboys’ offense.”

“Last year, there wasn’t a lot in the way of depth behind him. They need him there.”

Lamb has been key part of Cowboys offense

To suggest Lamb has played a significant role in the Cowboys offense would be an understatement. He had the most catches in the league last season (135), good for 1,749 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns.

Jerry Jones said prior to a preseason game against the Raiders, “I’m not worried about a target date,” despite the fact that he hasn’t been able to lock him into a new deal despite his outstanding performances. There’s no deadline that worries me.”

Helman believes time is ticking on getting a new deal completed.

“When you’re talking about potentially becoming the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league… we’ve kind of been following this playbook for three months at this point,” he stated.

But an update that probably won’t sit well with Cowboys supporters came from ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, who said the two sides aren’t exactly close on terms or money.

“It really doesn’t feel like they’ve gotten to a point where they know the annual salary, where they know the contract length, where they know the real structure of the contract where it becomes guaranteed money,” he stated on “Get Up.”
