Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (88) poses prior to the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys 2024 NFC wild card game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, USA.

Credit Required: Kevin Jairaj/USA TODAY Sports Although CeeDee Lamb has not taken part in the mandatory training camp or other summer exercises for the Dallas Cowboys, a reputable NFL reporter thinks the star wide receiver’s holdout will not extend for very long.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter highlighted the ongoing impasse between Lamb and the Cowboys during a Tuesday appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.” Lamb should be back in Dallas before Week 1, according to Schefter, who also expressed optimism that the two organizations are drawing nearer to agreeing to a contract extension.

On a deal, I believe the two sides aren’t all that far apart. It shouldn’t have to be that hard, in Schefter’s opinion. However, as of Monday, August 20, he remains absent and has not yet completed camp, thus the outcome has not been as anticipated by all.

According to what I gather, the two sides aren’t all that far off, and myself and a few others think that they will find a means to work things out so that CeeDee Lamb can attend Week 1.

Regarding whether Lamb wants to be the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL, there have been differing claims. Lamb can easily make the case that he deserves the same kind of compensation as Justin Jefferson, who signed a contract worth $35 million annually with the Minnesota Vikings this offseason.

Last season, Lamb had an NFL-high 135 catches for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. According to one rumor, Lamb rejected a large financial offer from the Cowboys, but the specifics of the deal were not disclosed.

Lamb’s mysterious Instagram post on Monday, which might have signified absolutely nothing, threw Cowboys fans into a frenzy. If Schefter is right, Dallas’s nerves ought to be calming down soon.
