In an effort to sign a long-term deal before the 2024 season begins, CeeDee Lamb is waiting for a call from the Dallas Cowboys.

In a Friday Instagram video, Lamb stated, “We grind until we get that call. Still waiting on it.” In a recent video, Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who is still holding out for a new deal, states:

“We grind till we get that call, but we’re still waiting.be the best version of myself, because that’s what I can manage.” “Control what I can control, and that’s to be the best version of me,” he stated.

The Cowboys and Lamb “aren’t all that far apart” in their contract talks, according to a Tuesday report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Dallas may be under pressure to close a contract if Lamb continues to withhold himself from training camp in order to guarantee his availability for the team’s Week 1 clash against the Cleveland Browns on September 8.

According to ESPN’s Todd Archer, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones stated on Tuesday that the team is in “good shape” with Lamb and that the contract negotiations are “promising”.

According to the facts, I think we’ll work things out,” Jones stated, citing Archer. “I’d prefer not to talk for him. I’m attempting not to do that.

However, if we didn’t want him to be here, we wouldn’t have given him everything we have.” On August 16, Dallas Morning News’ Calvin Watkins said that the team has extended a contract to Lamb that was “slightly under $33 million per season.”

According to Spotrac, that would move him up to the second-highest average wage among wide receivers in the NFL, after Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings.

Lamb, who broke single-season team records in 2023 with 135 receptions for 1,749 yards, is now projected to make little less than $18 million before becoming a free agent in 2025.

Lamb and the Cowboys might be more inclined to resume extension negotiations as the regular season approaches in order to guarantee Lamb’s long-term future in Dallas.
