The Los Angeles Chargers and Dallas Cowboys will play in their preseason finale on Saturday in Texas. Both teams have had a difficult preseason to conclude.
At Oxnard, California’s training camp, a Cowboys player’s hotel room caught fire on Monday. Several Chargers players and staff were stuck in an elevator at the team’s hotel, the Westin in downtown Dallas, on Friday night at roughly 7:30 p.m. CT, according to WFAA. In a statement, Los Angeles said that Dallas Fire-Rescue had successfully saved every person stuck in the elevator, one by one.

“At approximately 7:30 p.m. CT Friday evening, several players and members of the Chargers traveling party were stranded in an inoperable elevator at the team hotel,” the team said in a statement. “After responding to the scene, Dallas Fire-Rescue helped each person exit the elevator individually and pass through the ceiling panel into a nearby elevator. The Dallas Fire-Rescue is appreciated by the Los Angeles Chargers for their prompt action, professionalism, and significant work in guaranteeing everyone’s safety.The Chargers and Cowboys will play their preseason game on Saturday at 3 p.m. Central Time at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
