The Dallas Cowboys team seemed to still be in the early stages of recovery following their humiliation at the hands of Jordan Love and the young Green Bay Packers during their first-round NFL playoff game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Cowboys brass has not only done almost nothing to strengthen the team in the NFL offseason, but they have also failed to lock down the long-term future of two of their best players. Dak Prescott, the team’s star quarterback, and CeeDee Lamb, its star wide receiver, seem to be delaying signing contract extensions with each other.

Not landing a deal with one of the best receivers in the league is puzzling, to put it mildly, but it may not be shocking given Prescott’s age (31) and the possibility that he is not the best quarterback to lead the team going ahead.

With the season about to begin, it is alarming that things appear to have gotten so bad in these contract negotiations with Lamb that nobody is exactly sure what is going on.

Lamb did, however, make a telling post on his Instagram account recently, letting everyone know that he is staying active.

Lamb posted on Instagram, saying, “I am working hard so my family can relax. I came out that part, where they do not let you live.” “It gave me something real, so give it my heart. Maintain its trimness.

There does not seem to be a conclusion in sight at this moment, but pressure is mounting because the Week 1 clash against the Cleveland Browns is scheduled for September 8.

It will not look good if the Cowboys start the season without taking care of Lamb, so they will probably try to get something done.
Next up: Jerry Jones
