After signing CeeDee Lamb to a long-term extension, the Dallas Cowboys should turn their attention to Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons. Prescott’s contract is due to expire in 2025, so getting a new one is urgent. Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones stated on Wednesday that talks with the star quarterback will continue as they have been. “It will remain like it is been,” Jones said via ESPN.

As the 2024 season approaches, nothing has changed. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, back in March, Prescott was expected to play out the final year of his contract. “We just do not need to get it done before the season. Because it is in all of our interest, Dak and everybody, to have a great season. And as a matter of fact, that is probably not realistic to think before the season. But my thought sitting right here is we will have Dak [as Cowboys quarterback in 2025 and beyond]. But all I am going to say is this: It is not done yet,” Jones stated, citing Clarence Hill of DLLS.

“You could easily say, ‘If you have not seen it by now, you have not seen it,'” remarked the man. “I love Dak’s and am grateful for all of the wonderful items that are there, as we all know. And above everything else, I value his work ethic the most. I am so happy that we have him to launch this campaign this year; words cannot express how happy I am. When examining a problem, you must also consider the potential ramifications of the opposing viewpoint. Thus, in my mirror, Dak’s current circumstance has more to do with ourFor better or worse, the Cowboys 2024 campaign will be clouded by the story of Dak’s new contract continuing to seem impossible before the season begins.
