With the recent signing of a record-breaking contract extension that solidifies his position as one of the NFL’s finest wide receivers, CeeDee Lamb has cemented his future with the Dallas Cowboys.

After Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson, Lamb became the second-highest-paid non-quarterback in league history with the $136 million over four-year deal that included a $38 million signing bonus.

The agreement ended a contentious standoff this summer, during which Cowboys owner Jerry Jones expressed no pressing need to re-sign Lamb, who is 25 years old.

The three-time Pro Bowler’s response to learning of his mega-deal was captured on camera, and it is currently going viral on the internet.

It’s time!” Lamb shouted.

Since being selected by the Cowboys as the 17th overall pick out of Oklahoma, Lamb has been a vital component of the offense. He talked about how happy he was about the new season and the lucrative agreement he and Jones had negotiated.

“We had a businessman conversation,” Lamb stated according to Todd Archer’s article on ESPN. “I just had to have the room clear. Everything has passed us by. “I’m not anxious about nothing at all.

We completed the tasks we needed to. It’s time for me to start having fun now.” Lamb is coming off a breakout season in which he recorded the NFL record for the most games in a row with at least 150 receiving yards and 10 receptions. He went on three such trips.

He also earned his maiden nod to the All-Pro First Team.

Lamb and the Cowboys will open their new season against the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 8.
