Fears regarding his contract were minimized by Mike McCarthy, who said that it “does not matter” as the Dallas Cowboys prepare for their Week 1 matchup with the Cleveland Browns. I truly do not want to talk about it. McCarthy stated on Monday, “I have not spoken about it because there is really nothing to talk about, because it does not matter.” Today is the only day that matters. “The Cowboys still have one of the most talented rosters in the NFL, and owner Jerry Jones isn’t afraid to go star-chasing,” Howe added. “If Jones believes Belichick would give his ready-made contender the best chance to end a three-decade Super Bowl drought, it could be the perfect fit for both sides.” McCarthy and the Cowboys will put their immediate attention on Sunday’s game against the Browns.
