The Dallas Cowboys’ defensive line is struggling as a result of Jordan Phillips’ injury to his wrist, which has put him on injured reserve. Mazi Smith, a former first-round pick, exited the field due to back discomfort, which made matters worse and made people wonder if he would be available for practice or the next game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Smith participated in walkthroughs and meetings, but his availability for practice is still unknown until test results are in. Smith may be able to play in Week 3, according to head coach Mike McCarthy, who also underlined the need for additional testing.

After a disappointing rookie season and summer shoulder surgery, Smith—the first defensive lineman selected by the Cowboys in the first round since 1991—has battled with ailments since joining the team, raising questions about his progress.
