The Baltimore Ravens, who are 0-2 going into their matchup with the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3, are in must-win territory.
Fortunately, Lamar Jackson has an absurdly strong record versus NFC opponents, so a game against them might be exactly what the doctor ordered for Baltimore.
Lamar Jackson is 20-1 in his career versus NFC clubs coming into this week’s match.
Jackson’s final encounter with an NFC rival was over Christmas, when the Ravens’ offense easily defeated the San Francisco 49ers, 33-19.The Cowboys are 16-1 at home in their last 17 games during the regular season, but they recently suffered an embarassing defeat at home against New Orleans, in addition to their 48-32 home setback against the Packers earlier in the season. The Ravens want to stay away from a 0–3 start.
There is only one loss in Lamar Jackson’s history versus the NFC, and it occurred in the 2022 season when the Ravens fell to the New York Giants 24-20 in the middle of October.
Jackson has owned the NFC, otherwise. He is 20-1 after taking over as the Ravens’ starter.
Regarding today’s game, the Ravens and Cowboys’ last meeting took place in Baltimore in 2020, with the Ravens emerging victorious, 34-17. Jackson only completed 107 yards of passing in that game, but he did manage two touchdowns. With 294 yards gained through rushes, mostly by Jackson (94 yards on 13 runs), the Ravens dominated that game on the ground.
Jackson’s ability to lead the Ravens to victory in Dallas and escape a 0-3 start—which may be the end of their season—will be tested.
