Important Giants vs. Cowboys games
The Giants and Cowboys have faced off 124 times before, and numerous of those encounters have produced significant turning points in their rivalry.
They have faced each other at least twice a season and have clashed nearly as frequently, yet one squad has a distinct advantage over the other.
In their 15 previous matchups in the NFC East, the Cowboys have emerged victorious on only two occasions, demonstrating their dominance in the relationship.
After the Giants dominated play in the late 2000s, winning their lone postseason game 21-17 in 2008, this is an amazing comeback.
In order to win Super Bowl XLII against the New England Patriots, New York defeated Dallas in the divisional playoffs, with Brandon Jacobs scoring the game-winning touchdown.
Since then, though, it has mainly been one-way traffic. The Cowboys handed their rivals a blank during a 40-0 hammering last season, and then they were battered 49-17 again.
Dallas has been a consistent postseason force in recent years, but they have only advanced past the wild card round once, in the 2022–2023 playoffs.
The Giants’ most recent victory came in a close 23-19 victory in 2021; their previous triumph dates back to 2016.
For New York, it is been a while between drinks breaks, so they are hoping to break their hoodoo.
