Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has opened up after a heated moment with quarterback Dak Prescott in Week 3.

Lamb showed his frustration during the Cowboys’ Sunday, September 22, loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Cameras captured a tense interaction between Lamb, Prescott, receivers coach Robert Prince, and right guard Zack Martin. Lamb took responsibility for the incident while speaking to the media on Tuesday, September 24.

When asked about the sideline argument, Lamb admitted, “That’s not who I am as a player.”

CeeDee Lamb Vows to Improve for Dallas Cowboys

“That’s not who I am as a teammate,” Lamb said regarding his outburst. “It was a bad game for me. I take full accountability. I’ll be better moving forward. It’ll be fine.”

He continued, “I hold myself to high standards, even more than others do, and honestly, I let myself down and the team by not being a game-changer. I let the pressure get to me. I must be honest with myself—I played a big part in the loss, and my attitude or body language didn’t help.”

Seeing Lamb and Prescott argue likely shocked many Cowboys fans. Prescott is the NFL’s highest-paid franchise quarterback, and Lamb ranks as the second-highest-paid wide receiver, adding pressure to both. Lamb, however, assured everyone that he and Prescott are like brothers.

“We understand the urgency, and that’s just between us,” Lamb said of Prescott. “We talk all the time, and our bond has only gotten stronger. Don’t be misled by what you see. We’re brothers, and we know we only have each other.”

Lamb added, “I have immense respect for him. I see him as a brother. Everything, from passion to fight, will come out, but we’ll always make up. There’s no drama.”

Dak Prescott on CeeDee Lamb: ‘Move On to the Next Play’

Prescott shared similar sentiments after the Ravens game. When asked about his on-field exchange with Lamb, Prescott emphasized the importance of helping Lamb stay focused.

“The body language, whether good or bad, doesn’t matter,” Prescott explained in the postgame conference. “What’s important is his mindset. When you have high expectations for yourself, you’re going to feel down. My goal is to remind him, ‘Move on to the next play.’ What matters is how you respond and make the next play better.”
