Despite 11 penalties and a 10-minute possession deficit, the Dallas Cowboys pulled off a 20-15 win against the New York Giants on “Thursday Night Football.”
The victory evened Dallas’ record at 2-2 for the season, while the Giants fell to last place in the NFC East with a 1-3 record.
With under four minutes left in the game, Cowboys’ star defender Micah Parsons suffered an ankle injury and left the field in pain. After spending time in the blue medical tent, he was carted to the locker room.
According to Jon Machota of The Athletic, Parsons was seen “limping around the locker room, clearly in pain.”
The reporter also shared the three words the All-Pro linebacker told quarterback Dak Prescott about his injury: “I’ll be good.”
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo added on X that Parsons was seen icing his ankle at the Cowboys’ training table, showing some limping but no signs of a serious injury.
After an impactful Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns, the 25-year-old has been quieter in recent games.
Parsons ended Thursday’s game with just two total tackles, including one for loss.
Over the last two weeks, he has made only eight tackles and a single QB hit, totaling just 1.0 sack this season after reaching 13.0 in each of his first three NFL seasons.
Next up for the Cowboys is a Week 5 away game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on “Sunday Night Football,” giving Parsons and his team 10 days to rest and recover.
