In Week 6, the Dallas Cowboys put on yet another dismal show as they were trounced at home by the Detroit Lions. The Cowboys lost 47-9 and were never in the game.
Rico Dowdle, the team’s top rusher, only managed 25 yards, while Dak Prescott threw two interceptions and zero touchdowns, making it difficult for Dallas’ offensive to get going.
Kerby Joseph, a safety for the Lions who recorded an interception during the game, talked about the team’s defensive plan and how easy it was for Detroit to humiliate the Dallas offense.
On the St. Brown Podcast, which is co-hosted by prominent wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, Joseph discussed the importance of slowing down CeeDee Lamb since there is no one else on the field who poses a threat.”The gameplan was really just take (CeeDee Lamb) away, we know he is a play maker,” he stated. “Once we take him out the game, we was not really worried about anyone else.”The Cowboys offense looks horrible there, but that just makes what everyone already knew worse.
The team’s rushing attack is currently the weakest in the NFL since it was neglected during the offseason. The offensive is one note since there is not a real threat.
Hopefully, this serves as a wake-up call for Jerry Jones and the team during the bye week. The offensive unit needs more firepower if the team is serious about turning things around and going “all in.”
