The Dallas Cowboys will return from a crucial bye week on Sunday, October 27, facing a tough challenge against the San Francisco 49ers.

Another key date for the team is the 2024 NFL Trade Deadline, which is on Tuesday, November 5.

Currently at 3-3, the Cowboys remain in the hunt, just one game behind in the NFC East. Depending on how they perform this Sunday and in Week 8, they could be in a strong position heading into the latter part of the season.

However, if the team drops to 3-4 by November, there’s hope Jerry Jones will make a trade to address long-standing issues at positions like running back and wide receiver.

Unfortunately, most Cowboys fans don’t expect this to happen. Neither does Jerry Jones.

According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, Jerry stated “that Dallas won’t be making roster changes before the NFL trade deadline in November.”

Should this be surprising?

The team has repeatedly ignored addressing clear roster weaknesses. Though Jerry insists the team is “all-in” for 2024, his actions suggest otherwise.

The only thing he seems “all-in” on is running out the season and blaming Mike McCarthy later.
