81-Game Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowler with 4,279 Rushing Yards and 25 Touchdowns Signs with Cowboys in Massive Trade Deal

In a mock trade proposal, the Dallas Cowboys aim to bolster their running back position.

The Cowboys, standing at 3-4, face a tough lineup against the Falcons, Eagles, Texans, and Commanders as they approach midseason. Without a decisive move before the November 5 trade deadline, their season outlook could worsen.

Fans have long awaited improvements in the Cowboys’ running game, which ranks last in the NFL for rushing yards, touchdowns, and yards per carry. Ezekiel Elliott’s production has declined, and no team RB averages over 4.2 yards per attempt.

The Cowboys have several potential trade options, especially with the Carolina Panthers, who have a surplus of running backs. With Jonathon Brooks returning from injury, the Panthers may have more RBs than needed, including Chuba Hubbard and Miles Sanders.

While Hubbard may be more appealing, he would likely cost more, and the Panthers may prefer to retain him. Jerry Jones, however, would likely favor a deal requiring fewer assets.

This makes Sanders an ideal target for the Cowboys, who could likely acquire him with a sixth-round pick.

Sanders joined the Panthers on a four-year, $25.4 million contract after four successful years with the Eagles. He hasn’t met expectations in Carolina and has been overtaken by Hubbard.

With $4.02 million guaranteed remaining, some financial adjustments would be needed to facilitate a trade.

This season, Sanders has 34 carries for 139 yards and a touchdown. Although he hasn’t performed at his Philadelphia level, he could still be an upgrade in Dallas.
