Micah Parsons is set to return to the Dallas Cowboys’ defense just in time for a crucial NFC East matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Parsons, who has been sidelined for four games due to a high left ankle sprain suffered during the Week 4 loss to the New York Giants, is now fully recovered and ready to play, despite initially being listed as questionable.
“Once I’m out there, I’m out there. The competitor in me can’t hold back. I’ve been banged up plenty of times, but when I’m competing, I’m competing. It’s tough to restrain that,” Parsons said.
His absence has had a significant impact on the Cowboys’ defense, which currently ranks among the league’s worst in points and yards allowed per drive. Without Parsons, the team has struggled to generate consistent pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Despite the setbacks, Parsons still ranks second on the team with 21 quarterback pressures, just two sacks behind leader DeMarcus Lawrence, who has also missed time this season due to a foot injury.
Parsons will make his highly anticipated return to the field on Sunday against the Eagles.
