With every heartbreaking loss as the Dallas Cowboys’ season drags on, concerns regarding Mike McCarthy’s future will inevitably surface.

Micah Parsons, the standout edge rusher for the Cowboys, who made his comeback in Sunday’s 34-6 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, stated that he is more concerned about guard Zack Martin and other players who have a limited number of games left than he is about McCarthy’s future.

Parsons stated, “Mike can leave and go wherever he wants,” according to Yahoo Sports’ Jori Epstein. “Guys like Zack Martin and those who may be in their final year or leaving are the ones I feel sorry for. I wanted to hold the trophy for that person. You would want to

Before joining Dallas in 2020, McCarthy managed the Green Bay Packers for 13 years, winning one Super Bowl. The 61-year-old is in the last year of his contract and is in his fifth season. McCarthy might be playing out the string at 3-6 with four straight defeats, including many blowouts.

Parson’s remarks highlight the essence of the company. While players’ careers have a limited lifespan, well-known coaches typically find employment in some capacity after being fired, such as as an offensive coordinator or senior-level analyst. A body can only have so many tackles and blocks.

When asked if McCarthy ought to be the Cowboys’ coach the next season, Parsons responded that it was “above my pay grade.”

Owner Jerry Jones stated he had no inclination to make a change during the season, even though calls for the coach’s dismissal will only grow louder.

Regarding McCarthy’s standing, Jones stated, “Mike is a heck of a coach, a great coach in my mind,” according to The Athletic. “[He] has the chance to do better than we are at the moment, and he should. Midway through the season, I have not had a great experience switching coaches.

“I have always regretted switching coaches with Wade (Phillips) throughout the season. In actuality, after two years, I changed my mind about Chan Gailey. I felt bad about that. That is insufficient. You must give yourself an opportunity. In my time, I have had a lot more rope than that. I have never had someone let me down.”

Starting with their game against the Houston Texans on Monday night, the Cowboys will play three of their next four games as stand-alone matches.
