The Dallas Cowboys have been plagued by injuries this season, especially on the offensive line. With key players like Tyler Guyton, Zack Martin, and Tyler Smith all sidelined at various points, along with rookie center Cooper Beebe, the situation has been less than ideal. However, the offensive line unit has shown resilience. Players such as T.J. Bass, Brock Hoffman, Chuma Edoga, and Asim Richards have stepped up, ensuring the line continues to function effectively. Over the past two weeks, the offensive line’s performance has significantly improved, and an impressive stat is that Cooper Rush has been sacked just once. Moreover, in their game against the New York Giants, the offensive line allowed no pressure on Rush. Tyler Smith, proud of the team’s depth, expressed confidence in his teammates, saying, “If any of us go down, not only do I have my brother’s back, but he has mine. We come in, and there’s no drop-off—just straight domination.” Against the Giants, that “domination” was evident as the Cowboys’ line physically dominated the Giants’ defense, paving the way for Rico Dowdle’s 112-yard rushing performance and a touchdown, while also keeping Rush untouched in the pocket. It’s been a solid performance overall. Although it’s still unclear if Zack Martin will return for the game against the Cincinnati Bengals, the contributions of Hoffman, Bass, and Edoga have been so impressive that many are optimistic about their future potential as valuable depth pieces in 2025. With more dominant performances in the coming weeks, the Cowboys may have found some key building blocks for their offensive line moving forward.
