CeeDee Lamb, the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards once again this season, with three games still to go. This marks the fourth consecutive year he has reached this milestone. What makes this achievement even more impressive is that Lamb has had backup quarterback Cooper Rush throwing him passes for six games. While their connection didn’t immediately take off, the two have been improving steadily over the past month, highlighted by Lamb’s 116-yard, one-touchdown performance against the Carolina Panthers. Lamb has expressed that their bond on the field is getting stronger. “Still growing,” he said. “I feel like half a season is only so far you can get, but with us, I feel like we’ve definitely accelerated through the clouds in terms of being in sync with keys, him reading my body language on routes, and knowing where I’ll be. Just being where I need to be, and I feel like with that, big plays are going to happen. We just have to stick to the script, and success will follow.” Since Rush took over, Lamb has accumulated 429 yards and two touchdowns on 41 catches. Though these numbers don’t jump off the page, considering Lamb has been dealing with a shoulder injury, it’s a solid performance. With Dak Prescott missing six games and Brandin Cooks out for seven, Lamb has essentially been the focal point of the offense, yet he has continued to deliver. As Rush grows more comfortable in his starting role, their chemistry continues to improve. With three games remaining, they have time to further strengthen their connection, and Cowboys fans are hopeful that the duo will finish the season on a high note.
