Dak Prescott recently provided an optimistic update on his recovery from a significant hamstring injury that ended his season earlier this year. The injury, which required surgery to repair a torn hamstring, had Prescott on crutches for some time, but he has made progress. On a recent “Sunday Night Football” broadcast, sideline reporter Melissa Stark shared that Prescott tore his right hamstring in Week 9, underwent surgery on November 13, and had just recently stopped using crutches.
Despite the positive news about his recovery, some reports have suggested that Dak could regain his mobility through rehabilitation, even implying he could return as a more mobile quarterback. However, Prescott himself made it clear that his focus right now is on strengthening his core and upper body, as well as building muscle in his injured leg. He mentioned that he expects to be fully prepared for offseason activities in April without any restrictions.
While Prescott’s recovery is progressing well, the idea that he could become significantly more mobile after his injury, especially at age 31 and following previous injuries, is unrealistic. His goal is to be at his best for the upcoming season, but expecting a drastic improvement in mobility may be an overestimation.
