Cowboys Eye $90M WR to Pair with CeeDee Lamb in Bold Trade Proposal

The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly targeting Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill as a potential trade acquisition. Hill, an eight-time Pro Bowler, has sparked rumors about his future following comments after the season finale where he hinted at exploring options for his career, only to clarify later that it was frustration talking. The buzz surrounding his possible departure from Miami has intensified, positioning the Cowboys as a prime candidate to land the elite receiver.

With Dallas in need of a reliable No. 2 option alongside CeeDee Lamb, Hill could be the game-changing addition they seek. Despite a slightly down year, recording 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns, the 31-year-old remains an explosive talent and was just a year removed from leading the league in receiving yards and touchdowns. The Cowboys’ pursuit of a big-name receiver like Hill would certainly make a splash, returning them to prominence after a period of stagnation. Hill’s acquisition would also make sense financially, as Dallas still has more than $30 million in cap space for 2025.

Lamb, despite battling injuries and inconsistent quarterback play last season, still posted impressive numbers with 101 catches for 1,194 yards and six touchdowns across 15 games. A proven partner like Hill could elevate Lamb’s production and add the much-needed dynamic to the Cowboys’ offense.

Cowboys Targeting ‘Explosive’ Veteran WR Options

With veteran receiver Brandin Cooks departing for the New Orleans Saints, the Cowboys are actively seeking a proven No. 2 receiver to complement Lamb. Jalen Tolbert and other younger receivers are currently on the depth chart, but Dallas co-owner Stephen Jones confirmed the team is exploring all options, including veteran additions, to upgrade their receiving corps.

“We’re still open to looking for a truly explosive No. 2 to elevate our offense,” Jones said, though he expressed confidence in the current roster.

Dak Prescott’s Health Key to Cowboys’ Success

The success of the Cowboys hinges on quarterback Dak Prescott’s health. Prescott, who underwent hamstring surgery last November and was limited to just eight games last season, is diligently rehabbing and expected to be fully ready for the season opener. While Prescott may have some limitations in the offseason and preseason, the team is optimistic about his recovery, and Jones is confident Prescott will be in top form for the regular season.

With the No. 12 overall pick in the upcoming draft, the Cowboys could further bolster their offense, positioning them to make a serious playoff push.
