Trade Rumor Suggests Dolphins Could Send $90 Million Star to Cowboys
As the offseason continues, the Miami Dolphins face tough decisions about their roster. With the team appearing unlikely to be a serious contender in the near future, moving high-priced veterans could be a smart move. One of the top names in trade speculation is star cornerback Jalen Ramsey, but wide receiver Tyreek Hill has also been mentioned in recent rumors.
According to Brian Martin from SB Nation, the Dallas Cowboys could be an ideal landing spot for Hill. After skipping over a top-tier wide receiver in the draft, Dallas still needs a strong complement to CeeDee Lamb. Hill, despite his hefty salary, could fill that gap perfectly alongside quarterback Dak Prescott.
“There’s been a lot of buzz around Tyreek Hill potentially being traded this offseason,” Martin wrote. “He would instantly elevate the Cowboys’ receiving unit and form a dynamic duo with CeeDee Lamb. However, acquiring him would require significant draft capital, and taking on his large contract may be a dealbreaker. While it’s hard to predict what Jerry Jones might do, a deal like this still feels like a long shot.”
Hill’s numbers dropped last season due to Miami’s offensive struggles and injuries to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. He still recorded 959 yards and six touchdowns—solid stats, though well below his 2022 breakout year where he totaled 1,799 yards and 13 scores.
If traded to Dallas, there’s a possibility Hill could return to elite form. His speed and playmaking ability could be just what Prescott and Lamb need to make a deeper postseason run.
Meanwhile, Ramsey also remains a potential trade candidate, adding to the Dolphins’ offseason uncertainty.
