Jonah Jackson’s Struggles in Los Angeles

Jonah Jackson’s 2024 season with the Rams did not go as planned. He spent much of the offseason recovering from an injury, which caused him to miss a significant portion of training camp. Even though he returned for the season opener, he struggled to get comfortable, ultimately being benched. His difficulties adapting to the Rams’ offensive scheme have made him expendable, and Los Angeles is reportedly looking to trade him before the March deadline to ease their salary cap situation.

Lions Could Be Looking for Depth

With the potential departure of Kevin Zeitler in free agency and the possibility that Graham Glasgow could be let go due to cap constraints, Detroit may find themselves needing additional depth on the offensive line. While Christian Mahogany has shown promise, adding a seasoned player like Jackson could bring some much-needed stability. If Jackson becomes available at a more affordable price, the Lions could take advantage of his experience and his previous knowledge of their system.

Could a Reunion Be in the Works?

If the Rams are unable to trade Jackson and ultimately release him, the Lions may consider bringing him back.
