The Detroit Lions are facing several decisions regarding their roster, with more than 30 players set to become free agents this offseason. Among them is veteran edge rusher Marcus Davenport, whose future with the team appears uncertain.

Davenport was signed to a one-year, $6.5 million contract in 2024 with the hope that he would provide support for Aidan Hutchinson on the defensive line. At the time, the move made sense for general manager Brad Holmes, as the team needed additional pass-rushing help.
