The Detroit Lions made an adjustment to their practice report on Thursday, listing veteran offensive tackle Jamarco Jones.

Jones was marked as a limited participant because of an ankle issue. He dealt with a similar injury during training camp but did not appear on Wednesday’s initial practice report of the regular season.

Jones currently holds the role of the Lions’ swing tackle, meaning he’s the first option behind the starting pair and a likely piece in heavy-package sets. Dan Skipper, who has been in that position the last three years, has not been on the field this week. Since Skipper is on the practice squad, the team does not have to provide updates on his health status.

Offensive line coach Hank Fraley spoke highly of Jones earlier this week:
“He’s been steady and reliable. He came in late, stayed through the offseason, and has shown consistency playing both sides. He earned his spot here. Nothing is given out—practice squad or active roster—guys have to prove they belong, and he did just that.”

Elsewhere on the injury front, linebacker Trevor Nowaske (elbow) and rookie running back Sione Vaki (hamstring) were the only players held out of Thursday’s session.

Rookie wideout Isaac TeSlaa, who was sidelined by illness, was bumped up to limited participation. Head coach Dan Campbell noted earlier in the week that TeSlaa was trending in the right direction and should be available when Detroit heads to Green Bay. The third-round pick is expected to play a role on special teams and may also see offensive snaps after the Lions dealt Tim Patrick to Jacksonville for a sixth-round selection.

Meanwhile, veteran lineman Kayode Awosika (shoulder) returned as a full participant, showing progress at the right time. Friday’s practice report, which will include official game statuses, will be the key update for the five players currently on Detroit’s list.
