ALLEN PARK — The Detroit Lions signed free-agent cornerback Rachad Wildgoose in order to add some much-needed depth before the last day of training camp.
Wildgoose, a Buffalo Bills sixth-round selection in 2021, has very little chance of making the squad. However, he will offer some temporary respite for that injury-ravaged cornerback position since he has appeared in 20 NFL games.Due to a pectoral injury, Emmanuel Moseley is already out for the long run and may not return until the playoffs, while Terrion Arnold, a first-round choice, has missed the previous week of action due to a similar issue. Although Arnold is anticipated to make a comeback the following week, Detroit needed an extra body to see them through the last week of the preseason, as Carlton Davis and Ennis Rakestraw have also been hampered in their recent injury returns. Detroit plays its last exhibition game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
