On Tuesday, the Jaguars significantly altered their roster. The Jaguars enjoyed one of their busiest trade days of the year twelve days prior to the 2024 regular season kickoff as they trimmed their roster to the 53 players that the NFL allows for regular season play.
Teams had until Tuesday at 4 p.m. EST to reduce to 53.
On Tuesday, the Jaguars placed two players on injured reserve, one on the reserve/suspended list, waived 13 players, released nine others, waived/injured one player, and released one by injury settlement. Tuesday’s roster moves included the dismissal of offensive tackle Tyler Shatley and the waiver of cornerbacks Christian Braswell and Erick Hallett II.
Having played with the squad since 2014, Shatley had the longest contract of any player on the roster. In the NFL Draft of 2023, Hallett was selected in the sixth round, while Brasuwell was selected in the seventh round.
