DETROIT:Following a Detroit Lions game, a shooting at a well-liked tailgate location claimed the life of a second individual, according to authorities on Monday.

According to police Chief James White, a brawl broke out at Eastern Market, an outdoor gathering place, about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Tampa Bay Bucs had just upset the local Detroit Lions 20–16 at Ford Field.

Lions coach Dan Campbell stated on Monday, “I do not know all the details, but anytime that somebody loses their life, that is a tragic thing.”

When someone took out a gun and shot at least two bullets, the conflict got more intense. Following the shooting, local police detained the alleged gunman and found two firearms, according to White.The victims were identified as two men from Detroit, one in his 40s and the other in his 20s. An Oak Park suspect was being held. White told reporters on Sunday that tailgating, drinking, and guns “do not mix.” The altercation started as a larger fight that broke up after a short while, adding, “The two fighters put up their hands like they were about to fight each other…. One of the people in the fight, a male from Oak Park, pulls out a gun and fires at least twice.”
