Dan Campbell, the coach of the Detroit Lions, and his family had to put their previous home up for sale due to security concerns, so they moved to a new residence in the metro area. According to Crain’s Detroit Business, the Campbells’ address was leaked online, which frequently resulted in harassment and practical jokes. The family reported harassment to the police following the Lions’ January NFC championship game loss to the San Francisco 49ers, according to Fox 2 Detroit. According to the article, Campbell and his spouse Holly purchased a 7,800-square-foot “mansion” in Oakland County, Michigan, in 2021. Campbell said, “The house is gorgeous,” to Crain’s. “We simply lost, and people found out where we lived.”
The family’s previous house was under contract on Tuesday and listed on Zillow for $4.5 million, but Campbell withheld details about it. The five-bedroom, seven-plus bathroom house on 1.72 acres reportedly sold for $3.5 million in March 2021, according to Zillow data.
After finishing 3-13-1 in his debut season in 2021, Campbell’s Lions have now improved to 22-14.
