The 2024 NFL season has begun, and teams are already seeing changes. Lineups are shifting due to injuries or underperformance, making trades crucial to maintaining momentum. One team facing this situation is the Tennessee Titans.

This is Brian Callahan’s first season as head coach, and the start has been rough. With an 0-2 record, the Titans need to turn things around. A major issue is at quarterback, where Will Levis has struggled. In two games, Levis has completed 63.3% of his passes for 319 yards, two touchdowns, three interceptions, and has taken seven sacks.

His costly turnovers have led to back-to-back losses, and Callahan has publicly criticized Levis each week. The Titans have a strong roster, but need a change at quarterback to save the season.

Their solution is to trade for Detroit Lions backup quarterback Hendon Hooker. After missing his rookie season due to an ACL injury, Hooker made his debut this preseason.

He played in all three games, completing 65.9% of his passes for 300 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, with an adjusted completion percentage of 78%. He also added 138 rushing yards on 19 attempts and scored a rushing touchdown.

Hooker would be a great fit for Callahan’s offensive system. His experience with Tennessee’s vertical passing attack would make full use of Calvin Ridley’s skills.

Hooker’s athleticism, strong arm, and ability to make plays in and out of the pocket would raise the ceiling for the Titans’ offense and make him the perfect choice to lead their turnaround.

In exchange, the Lions could target wide receiver Treylon Burks to boost a receiver group that lacks depth.
