CeeDee Lamb often finds a way to make an impact on NFL games. In Week 2, despite the Dallas Cowboys’ offensive struggles, Lamb took a pass from Dak Prescott into double coverage, dodged both defenders, and turned it into a 65-yard touchdown.

This was the Cowboys’ only touchdown of the game but showed what the First-Team All-Pro receiver is capable of, especially after adding muscle during his summer holdout.

“Absolutely, man, and that’s just the beginning,” Lamb said, as the team prepares for their Week 3 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. “Everything I trained for in the offseason will show. I’m sure of it.”

Lamb currently leads the NFL with 2,038 scrimmage yards since 2023 and is second with 1,900 receiving yards since last season. His 135 receptions are the most among qualifying receivers.

The offense relies heavily on Lamb and Prescott.

As for the Cowboys’ 1-1 record?

“It’s only two NFL games,” Lamb said. “People have high energy, but we’ll see as the season goes on.”

Despite their two recent home losses, including a playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers, Lamb remains confident in the Cowboys’ ability to win at home.

“We’ve lost two home games in how many years?” he asked rhetorically. “We’ll be fine. We’ll be fine.”

Lamb appeared on the injury report with an ankle issue, but neither he nor head coach Mike McCarthy seemed worried. Lamb assured he would be ready for Sunday, describing the injury as minor soreness that required some rest.

Lamb’s focus is on overcoming another slow offensive start, similar to 2023, when he had a record-breaking season and Prescott was an All-Pro and MVP runner-up.

“Last year was last year, but we tend to improve as the season goes on,” Lamb explained. “We set the bar for ourselves, compete against others, and adjust as needed. We’ll make more adjustments this year.”

With the Ravens up next, the Cowboys want to avoid a 1-2 start, especially in such a critical season. However, they don’t plan to rush things, as that could lead to mistakes.

Instead, Lamb and the team are reviewing film and learning from their mistakes against the Saints to improve for Week 3.

“The urgency has always been there,” Lamb said. “It’s not panic or chaos. We understand. We had a bad performance, with controllable mistakes we could’ve avoided.

“We know the stakes. We have to capitalize.”
