Lions coach Dan Campbell and his family recently moved after their address was exposed and they experienced harassment. A police report now reveals how this happened.
According to Robert Snell of the *Detroit News*, a classmate of Campbell’s daughter posted the family’s address on SnapChat.
“Dumb fuck trying to go for it,” the male student wrote following the NFC Championship loss to the 49ers in January.
The classmate was questioned by investigators. He claimed that he and his friends were upset by the game’s outcome and thought the post was funny. School security later determined that the classmate and others had driven to Campbell’s house, parked outside, and yelled at the home.
(It’s unclear if they were inspired by Tom Cruise’s character in *All The Right Moves*.)
The investigator informed Campbell’s wife, Holly, that the incident didn’t meet the threshold for criminal charges.
“Holly’s main worry is that their address is public now, and she’s afraid that next season, people will know when her husband is away and may try to take advantage,” the police report says.
Campbell declined to comment further.
“No disrespect, man, I don’t want to go into it,” Campbell said. “It’s all good. My main job is to coach this team and have them ready each week. That’s my focus.”
The family has since relocated. While property transfers are public, the *Detroit News* has decided not to reveal their new address.
Hopefully, no one else will either.
