As he leads the Detroit Lions to a level of success they have not experienced in a while, Dan Campbell has something to be proud of.

The Lions made history last season by winning the NFC North, their first division crown in thirty years, and making history by winning two postseason games in a row for the first time since winning the NFL championship in 1957.

Nevertheless, Campbell has had difficulties with the Seattle Seahawks, having suffered losses against them in the previous three seasons.

You grow weary of that, he remarked. “After even one defeat, let alone three, you grow weary of that.”The Seahawks, who are 3-0 and presently atop the NFC West, will get another chance to defeat the Lions, led by Cam Campbell, at Ford Field on Monday night.

If Seattle’s winning streak continues, Mike Macdonald will join Josh McDaniels, who accomplished the feat in 2009 with the Denver Broncos, as the only NFL coach under 40 to open a season 4-0 since 1933.

Even though Macdonald is only 37 years old and in his first season with the Seahawks, the Lions are aware of his abilities because they played him last year when Macdonald was Baltimore’s defensive coordinator and the Ravens trounced Detroit 38–6.

“The game kind of got out of hand early,” remarked Macdonald, the 2021 defensive coordinator for Michigan under Jim Harbaugh.
