The Detroit Lions, under offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, have become known for their creative trick plays. Just last week, they flawlessly executed a hook-and-ladder.
However, none have been as daring or as exciting as the one they used against the Seattle Seahawks on “Monday Night Football.” On second-and-goal, the Lions ran an end-around to Amon-Ra St. Brown. But instead of continuing the run, the Lions’ All-Pro receiver paused, pulled back his arm, and threw to quarterback Jared Goff, who was waiting in the end zone.

Credit goes to Johnson for the gutsy play call, but a lot of praise is due to St. Brown for his accurate pass on a well-defended play.
The play extended the Lions’ lead to 28-14 in the second half against the Seahawks. However, with both offenses finding success, it didn’t seal the game. Seattle quickly responded, cutting the lead to 28-20 before the third quarter ended.
