Despite a strong comeback effort, Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks experienced their first loss of the season on Monday night. Smith recorded a career-high 395 passing yards in Seattle’s 42-29 defeat against the Detroit Lions.
Trailing 21-7 at halftime, Smith kept the Seahawks competitive in the second half in what turned into an exciting Monday Night Football game.

Smith completed 38-of-56 passes, threw a touchdown, and added 27 rushing yards. The WVU alum has now accumulated 1,182 passing yards this season.
The Seahawks are now 3-1, still leading the NFC West standings. Smith will lead his team home for a Sunday game against the New York Giants.
