The Detroit Lions achieved their third win of the 2024 season by scoring 42 points in their Monday Night Football game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Despite Detroit’s offensive success, some fans have speculated online about Brad Holmes contacting the Las Vegas Raiders to check on the availability of wide receiver Davante Adams.

Reports indicate that Adams has requested a trade. ESPN reports that the Raiders are asking for a second-round pick and additional compensation for the 31-year-old, who also has a significant contract remaining.

In an interview with Kay Adams, the Raiders’ star wideout revealed that communication with the team has decreased.

“I haven’t heard from him (coach Antonio Pierce), I haven’t spoken to him,” Adams said. “Honestly, it’s tough to comment on. I think you can imagine why. But, it’s just one of those situations where I stay focused, do my thing, and let things unfold.

“But there’s been no communication from the team since the rumors started. It’s always, ‘What’s going on with Tae?’ but, in the end, our 1-7 record isn’t the cause.”

Fans recognize that the cost to acquire Adams, an aging veteran, would be too high. He is owed $36.25 million over the next two seasons, but those figures are not guaranteed.

Furthermore, Tim Patrick appears to be progressing well, with his chemistry showing in the game against the Seahawks.

Patrick is a large receiver who could be utilized as a red-zone target going forward.
