The Dallas Cowboys will be without Micah Parsons for Week 6 against the Detroit Lions, according to the team’s injury report shared by NFL insider Ralph Vacchiano.

The All-Pro linebacker was injured in Week 4 against the New York Giants and did not play in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Parsons did not practice this week. Dallas will also miss LB Eric Kendricks due to calf and shoulder injuries. CB DaRon Bland (foot), CB Carlen Carson (shoulder), and LB Nick Vigil (foot) are questionable.

Cowboys face tough schedule to test playoff potential

The Cowboys need to step up in Week 6 against the Detroit Lions, but the challenge continues through Thanksgiving. After Detroit, they face back-to-back road games against the San Francisco 49ers and Atlanta Falcons.

Then, they return home for matchups with the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans, followed by the Washington Commanders on Thanksgiving Day in Week 12.

While the Cowboys show signs of dysfunction, it’s no more than other teams in the league. Last week, CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott were seen in a sideline argument, but Lamb clarified that the media misunderstood it, according to FWST’s Nick Harris.

“Our relationship has only gotten stronger. Don’t let the media fool you. We’re brothers. We know that we’re all we have, and I tip my hat to him. I have the utmost respect for him as a brother.”

Rumors have also surfaced about Ezekiel Elliott’s frustration with his role and touches. Head coach Mike McCarthy downplayed these concerns via ESPN’s Todd Archer.

“I think we’re seeing the best of Zeke since I’ve been here. He’s a great teammate and one of the most popular players in the locker room,” McCarthy said. “He brings energy every day … Sometimes the games don’t show what we see in practice.”

At least LG Tyler Smith took responsibility, saying the team must perform regardless of who’s at running back.

“My mindset doesn’t change based on who’s back there,” Tyler Smith said. “The biggest thing is executing our assignments. We know Zeke, Rico, Deuce [Vaughn], or [practice squad running back Malik Davis] can get the job done. It’s on us to make a way. We’re leading the charge.”
