Madden forecasts a losses for the Dallas Cowboys against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

The Dallas Cowboys have one game left before their bye week, giving fans a break. Last week’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers eased some of the pressure for this matchup, but the goal remains to win every game.

Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions does not look promising for the Cowboys, who are considered underdogs. Being underdogs at home suggests that Detroit could win comfortably. However, the unpredictability of games is why we play them.

To forecast the outcome, we rely on a different game. Each week, we simulate the upcoming Cowboys matchup in Madden to see what the game predicts. This week’s simulation can be viewed below.

Dallas lost 38-31 in a high-scoring game that feels plausible. The Lions have one of the league’s most potent offenses, making it difficult for the Cowboys to stop them.

The game remained close into the third quarter, with Dallas settling for a field goal, bringing the score to 28-24. From there, Detroit took control, shifting into a higher gear that Dallas struggled to match, which could reflect what happens on Sunday.

Madden has frequently predicted Cowboys losses. It was correct last week when it forecasted a win over Pittsburgh, but otherwise, the game has mainly projected losses.

Week 1 Prediction: Cowboys lose to the Cleveland Browns, 18-17
Week 1 Reality: Cowboys beat Cleveland Browns, 33-17

Week 2 Prediction: Cowboys lose to the New Orleans Saints, 36-29
Week 2 Reality: Cowboys lose to New Orleans Saints, 44-10

Week 3 Prediction:  Cowboys lose to the Baltimore Ravens, 21-14
Week 3 Reality: Cowboys lose to Baltimore Ravens, 28-25

Week 4 Prediction:  Cowboys lose to the New York Giants, 28-21
Week 4 Reality:n Cowboys beat New York Giants, 20-15

Week 5 Prediction: Cowboys beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 28-14
Week 5 Reality:  Cowboys beat Pittsburgh Steelers, 20-17

Madden was wrong about the Cowboys losing to both the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants. Hopefully, it’s wrong again this time.
