Sunday’s game between the Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys turned into a disaster for the home team.

Dominated in every position, they faced an opponent seeking revenge, which was clear from the opening kickoff to the 47-9 final score.

The Lions sought retribution for last year’s controversial game, with certain players having personal vendettas. Specifically, receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown aimed to settle a score with Cowboys defensive back Jourdan Lewis.

Their mutual dislike dates back to last season, and Sunday’s blowout reignited the tension.

St. Brown posted a video on his Instagram lip-syncing to Bankroll Fresh’s “Take Over Your Trap.” In response, Lewis messaged St. Brown, calling him “a b—-,” which St. Brown shared on his story.

Monday morning, Lewis took to X, saying, “That was between me and him. He decided to show the world.”

What exactly is Lewis referring to beyond the postgame jab?

On “The Pivot Podcast,” St. Brown revealed that Lewis had talked “out of pocket” during last year’s Lions-Cowboys game.

Last week, Lewis explained his game-day mindset and how it influences his interactions with opponents.
