The Detroit Lions have revealed the halftime show performer for their Thanksgiving game against the Chicago Bears this season.
Grammy-nominated artist Shaboozey, who has earned six nominations, will take the stage at Ford Field for the Week 13 matchup.
Shaboozey, born Collins Obinna Chibueze, derived his stage name from various mispronunciations of his last name. He gained mainstream recognition this year with the crossover hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which samples a 2004 J-Kwon single.
The song has reached over a billion streams and made history as Shaboozey became the first Black artist to simultaneously top both Billboard’s Hot Country Songs and Hot 100 charts.
The 29-year-old from Virginia also appears on Beyonce’s country album, Cowboy Carter, as the only artist with multiple features.
Heading into Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season, the Lions stand at 7-1. They will face the 4-4 Chicago Bears at home on Thursday, Nov. 28, with kickoff at 1
