The phrase “under-the-radar” has become increasingly associated with Kerby Joseph, but it’s doubtful this label will stick for long.

Kevin Patra of NFL.com is the latest to highlight the Detroit Lions safety as an underrated candidate for something significant. This time, Joseph is among the sleeper picks for a potential Pro Bowl spot this season.

“While several players in Detroit’s secondary could make this list, Joseph stands out due to his consistent performance and his knack for being in the right place at the right time,” Patra writes.

He’s not wrong. It would make sense to see Brian Branch right there alongside Joseph, considering the duo’s dynamic impact.

“Joseph’s six interceptions currently tie him for the NFL lead, and many of those have come in key moments or turned the tide of games. But it’s not just the turnovers. His -39.1 target EPA is by far the best in the league among safeties (Xavier McKinney is second at -20.8). Joseph’s 20.2 QB rating allowed as the nearest defender is the lowest among all DBs, and his 45% completion rate allowed ranks third-lowest (with a minimum of 200 coverage snaps),” Patra continues.

Additionally, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler has also singled out Joseph as a breakout player to watch in the second half of the season—despite the fact that he’s already playing at an elite level.

As a quick side note, we’re officially dubbing him “Legatron” now. And if you’re not already following the Michigan Panthers, you’re missing out—their hype for their former kicker has been pure gold.

In terms of team projections, NFL Network’s Cynthia Frelund has the Detroit Lions leading the pack.

Also, if you happen to see the Lions trying to throw gummy bears into a Gatorade bottle as part of some TikTok trend, just know that I’m too old to fully understand what’s going on.
