The Lions continue to dominate the NFC North with a series of hard-fought victories. After their loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2, Detroit has been on a tear, stringing together wins week after week. Whether it’s a blowout or a tight finish, the Lions have found ways to get the job done. Last week, despite Jared Goff throwing five interceptions, Detroit came from behind to defeat the Houston Texans 26-23 on Sunday Night Football. Jake Bates played the hero with two crucial field goals, helping the Lions overcome a 16-point deficit to secure the win.

Detroit leads the NFC North, holding a one-game edge over the Minnesota Vikings.

The Jaguars, who were expected to contend for the division title, have struggled throughout the season. An 0-4 start put them in a deep hole, and Trevor Lawrence’s shoulder injury two weeks ago only worsened their already sluggish offense. Last week, they suffered a 12-7 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, further diminishing their playoff hopes. While they’re not mathematically eliminated yet, Jacksonville is currently sitting at the bottom of the AFC, three games behind the final playoff spot.
