The Detroit Lions (10-1) will host the Chicago Bears (4-7) on Thanksgiving Day at 12:30 p.m. ET, broadcast on CBS. This marks Detroit’s 85th Thanksgiving game since 1934. The Bears, who are playing in their 38th Thanksgiving contest, have a strong recent history against the Lions, having won three consecutive matchups in 2018, 2019, and 2021. Detroit, however, is looking to secure its first Thanksgiving victory in those years.

The Lions are only the fourth team since 2000 to play on Thanksgiving with at least 10 wins, joining the ranks of the 2015 Panthers and 2011 Packers. This year also marks a historic milestone for Detroit, as they are positioned as an NFC powerhouse with two consecutive seasons of 10 or more wins.

Quarterback Jared Goff has excelled in Thanksgiving games, throwing six touchdowns and no interceptions in his three appearances. He aims to become just the second player, after Hall of Famer Brett Favre, to throw multiple touchdown passes in each of his first four Thanksgiving games.
