The Detroit Lions secured a thrilling 23-20 victory over the Bears on Thursday, holding off a late rally led by Caleb Williams and D’Andre Swift.
The game saw the Lions battling through numerous injuries, particularly on defense, as they allowed the Bears to outscore them 13-0 in the fourth quarter. Despite the struggles, Detroit managed to hang on for the win.
Linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez exited the game with a knee injury, which coach Dan Campbell later identified as the most significant concern heading into Thursday’s matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
Off the field, Rodriguez had reason to celebrate as his wife, Kennedy, is expecting their first child.
During the Thanksgiving Day game, Kennedy joined Isabelle, wife of Lions offensive tackle Penei Sewell, for a memorable sideline photo. The two, both pregnant, posed together for a heartwarming shot.
“Bumpin’,” Kennedy captioned the photo on Instagram, tagging Isabelle Sewell.
On the field, Rodriguez recorded two solo tackles and three total, while Sewell earned praise for his dominant downfield blocking against the Bears’ defensive front.
